On this occasion, we will once again look at the setup I would build at this precise moment in history if I had a budget of 1500 dollars and wanted to set up an Intel team that works for everything a content creator needs, of course with an excellent balance between current trends and price.

Previously, we talked about several budgets that I personally saw as very viable and economical for the power they offer, two excellent configurations that will not disappoint you if you have less than 1000 dollars. We discussed the budgets for the AMD Ryzen 7 5700X and for Intel, the I5 12600K budget.

But what happens if we have a higher budget? Could we build a better team in every way? Well, in the previous video we talked about which components I would choose if I wanted to build an AMD Ryzen 7 7700X team, but this time we will make some small changes to that budget to build a team with the I5 13600k processor.

So if you are a fan of Intel, don’t miss any detail to see the pros and cons of this choice.

1. Processor: Intel Core i5-13600K

I call this processor the Beast of Productivity and Multitasking, as it has a hybrid architecture of 6 performance cores plus 8 efficient cores, 14 cores that will give us a total of 20 work threads, 4 more than with the Ryzen 7 7700X. How does this translate into performance?

This processor surpasses the Ryzen 7 7700X by about 6% of its total performance, a processor that is already a beast, and if we compare it with its previous counterpart the I5 12600K, we are talking about a performance increase of approximately 38%, of course counting with 4 more cores, so in every way this processor is superior.

But not everything is honey on flakes, since if we choose this platform we have a small but important disadvantage, that if we want to update this team in the future and see a real performance leap, we will have to change at least the board and the processor, since the I5 14600k is basically this same processor but more expensive and the performance difference does not justify for me neither its purchase nor its change, unlike the Ryzen 7 7700X whose AM5 platform will be compatible with at least 2 more generations.

Now, for me this disadvantage would not be a problem, because with a team like this when you feel that it is no longer enough, surely more than 2 generations will have passed, so if you want to buy a pc for many years and want the best quality-price of Intel, this is precisely the option I would choose.

Now that we are clear about why this processor, let’s see which would be the board I would choose for this team.

2. Board: ASUS TUF GAMING B760-PLUS WIFI

In my particular case for a personal PC, I would choose without thinking, undoubtedly a Motherboard from the TUF GAMING line of Asus, since it has a slightly higher resistance for being made with military-grade components, more than that its elegant design, connectivity, support and expansion make them very desirable boards.

And this TUF GAMING B760-PLUS WIFI has everything I need to ensure the longevity of this configuration, DDR5, PCIe 5.0, Wi-Fi 6, 3 M.2 expansion ports, 2.5 G Ethernet and its chipset is already prepared to optimally connect this processor.

Offer

Of course, now that we have the processor and the board, let’s see which would be the perfect RAM for this configuration.

3. RAM: CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB DDR5 RAM 32 GB 6000 MT/S

These Corsair RAMs are ideal for this configuration for several reasons, they are compatible with Intel XMP 3.0 profiles, the combo has 32 GB of memory which would be the minimum recommended for a content creator, taking into account that we wanted 2 slots available if we want to expand this section in the future, its 6000 MT/s are more than enough to face the future and its CL30 latency is more than adequate for productivity programs.

CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB DDR5 RAM 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MHz CL30 Intel XMP iCUE Compatible Computer Memory - Black (CMH32GX5M2B6000C30)
  • Dynamic Ten-Zone RGB Lighting: Illuminate your system with ten individually addressable, ultra-bright RGB LEDs per module, encased in a panoramic light bar for vivid RGB lighting from any viewing angle.
  • Onboard Voltage Regulation: Enables easier, more finely-tuned, and more stable overclocking through CORSAIR iCUE software than previous generation motherboard control.
  • Custom Intel XMP 3.0 Profiles: Customize and save your own XMP profiles via iCUE to tailor performance by app or task for greater efficiency.
  • Create and Customize: Choose from dozens of preset lighting profiles, or create your own in iCUE.
  • Maximum Bandwidth and Tight Response Times: Optimized for peak performance on the latest Intel DDR5 motherboards.

These would be the main components to set up this Intel PC, the rest of the components would be the same as for the Ryzen 7 7700X budget, so I will give you a brief summary of why they were chosen.

4. Cooler: Noctua NH-D15S chromax.Black

Depending on the configuration, I prefer an air cooler to liquid cooling, mainly because they are more durable if we want a stable team for many years, and for this case, the Noctua NH-D15S chromax.Black was chosen for being one of the best and most reliable, besides that it has the capacity to correctly dissipate this processor.
